Saying Goodbye...

It's time to say good bye to those who will no longer be on staff next year...Kyle P., Alex, Shaun, Tiffany, Macy, Nolan, & Kyle H..  Please share with all of us a way they have helped you during their/your time here, a special memory, or what you appreciate about them.

Kyle, Alex, Shaun, Tiffany, Macy, Nolan & Kyle...please share any words of wisdom or motivation that you might have and be willing to share, as well as comments you have for the others below.

I would like to share...

Kyle P. thank you for your willingness to help, sense of humor and positive attitude.

Alex thank you for your calm sensibility, perseverance, and high standards.

Shaun thank you for your dedication to your floor and the countless hours that you put in to create such a close community.

Tiffany thank you for your energy, positive attitude and always being willing to help.

Macy thank you for your sense of humor, willingness to help, perseverance and magic ways with babies.

Nolan thank you for your leadership, maturity and sense of humor.  There wasn't a better person to be the only returner to a staff.

Kyle H. thank you for your dedication, leadership and other duties as assigned.  You had a lot put onto your plate this semester and you did a wonderful job of managing it.  Thank you for leaving the building and staff better than when you got them!

THANK YOU to everyone for being such an amazing staff this year.  I really can not express to you enough my gratitude for all that you took on this semester while I was gone.  It means so much to me that you were able to manage what came along with a wonderful sense of humor all so that I could recover and bond with my family.  You are all talented leaders that have positively impacted so many people (including me) and I am confident that you will continue to do so in the future.  Let this be good bye for now...don't be strangers!

I've grown a lot and learned a lot this year as a person. I've gone through a lot of changes and realized a lot of things about myself. It's always great to know how many people will be there for you during hard times or if you just need someone to help you laugh off some stress. Everyone on our staff was very supportive of one another and always made sure to help one another when they needed help.

It's been great to get to know all of you this year and I hope to see you around campus next year. Good luck to Kyle Herberg in the future, I'm sure that you will do great things wherever you end up.

If I had to give one word of wisdom, it would be to take a step back and look at yourself. Are you happy with who you are and how you take care of yourself? If not, make a change, it's in your power to do so and all it takes is a little dedication. If you need help, look around you, because there are many people there ready to support you.

Kyle P- I enjoyed all of your great ideas you brought to the table and your willingness to go through with them (BOUNCY House!)
Alex- My favorite memory will always be when we made that guy in the MSC mad because we did the BEEEEEHHHHHH goat sound during the T Swift song.
Shaun- I admired how tight knit your guy's are, and you put in a lot of working getting that together and it really paid off!
Tiffany- The art floor wouldn't have been the same without you. It was great how well you and Joe and I worked together!
Macy- Its been great working with you, and recognition coordinating like the bosses we are. It was good to know I could count on you for helping organize recognition stuffs :)
Nolan- Thanks for being a good reference for staff related things I didn't know about, and for helping me with conduct situations and whatnot :D
Kyle H- Probably the coolest, nicest and most friendly DSM ever! Enough said!

Kyle P - I really enjoyed your availability and willingness to jump into a situation or event where an extra hand was needed.

Alex- Your ability to intimidate the 2nd floor residents was really awesome, and overall your ability to take charge of a situation if the need be was fantastic.

Shaun- The fact you were able to pull off such consistent floor meetings was awesome!

Tiffany- Your spunky attitude as well as enthusiasm for planning awesome floor events was cool!

Macy- Silly willy nominations seemed to have a magnetic pull towards you, but its all pleasant memories! Hope you have a great time at your new school

Nolan- Thanks for being willing to answer questions at the beginning of the year and being a resource for general information.

Kyle H- Thanks for being the coolest DSM ever. Stay awesome and have fun at your new school, but remember how awesome MC staff was!

Guys keep up the great work!! And the advice that I am gonna give is that the better your connections are with your residences and the better they are with each other the easier it is for them to live and work together and for their support in you as their RA.

Being an RA this year...with this staff....has really allowed me to take a good hard look at myself - what motivates me, what makes me stressed, how I interact with others, how I respond to challenges. I can honestly say that I've grown more from this job than any other job I've ever had. And it partially has to do with the staff that I worked with.

You have all been so amazingly supportive and wonderful people to know, not just to work with! I am very happy to know and be inspired by each one of you, not to mention all the hilarious moments!

A word to the wise: do not be afraid of delaying instant gratification for a greater goal - it ultimately gives a much deeper satisfaction. At the same time, count your blessings and take time out of your day to "smell the roses" :) Love you all! I will miss this staff so much!

I want to thank every single one of you for making this year a blast. I will admit I was pretty nervous about being the only returning staff member the beginning of the year, but from the get go all of you excelled and made for one hell of a year.

I am going to miss all of you!

Thanks to everyone who had made this year quite an experience for me! I loved getting to know each and everyone individually and it's weird that most of us are very different people from each other, BUT we blended well as a staff (even though we couldn't complete that damn helium stick).

We have had a lot of memories together whether that may be good or bad, BUT we all made it to the end as a staff AND we can say that we had a very dedicated staff. (All other halls had someone leave and join them) EXCEPT US! WE ROCK!

I've learned a lot from this position and I will definitely use those skills for other jobs I might have in the future. THANK YOU STAFF! I hope to see everyone around next year! Don't be shy to pop into my apartment next year!

This is Macy...
Well MC Staff this year has been one to remember for sure. I want to thank you guys for being so accepting of my spunky self and of the various personalities that our staff consisted of. It was an awesome experience to work on a team who truly cares for one another, and although we weren't the staff that had constant hangouts, we worked well together and were always able to have a fun time.

To those returning, the new staff is beyond blessed to have you all as returners. Your leadership will be valued on the new staff for sure.

Just because I will be at a new school does not mean I am dead...so stay in touch family!

I wanted to let you all know that you made this year great. It was amazing coming to this staff and feeling like everyone actually cared about their position and each other! I have learned a lot over the last 3.5 years working for UH but, the best advice I can offer up to any of you is to be true to your self and do what makes you happy. Each and every single one of you has touched me in some way, and really affirmed that perusing a career in Student Affairs if the only choice for me.

Thank you all for being supportive, amazing, creative, and wonderful individuals. :+)
