The most influential person in my life would have to be my grandmother, DeVerna Hubbard. She was a strong independant woman that liked to travel, take photos and help people out as much as possible. She adopted/fostered all of my aunts and uncles (including my mother). She was also a registerd nurse. I still look up to her today.

The most influential person in my life would have to be my mom. She has always supported me in everything I do and constantly encourages me to pursue the things I enjoy doing. My mom is beautiful, strong and she speaks her mind (even though at times she may say too much!) I tell my mom everything and I turn to her for everything. She has raised me to be the person I am today and for that I am grateful. She is the person I respect the most and look to as a role model.

Probably the most influential person in my life (at least for my early years) was my grandmother. I lived with my grandparents from age 3-6 which was a huge part of my development stage of life. I then continued to spend every summer with them until I was 17. I believe that my grandparents (especially my grandma) instilled a lot of views and morals in me that developed the way I think about things. She never talked down to me and always explained everything, never said "because". My grandma is one of two people in this world that I love.

I would say the most influential person in my life would be my friend Tom Keeper. I apprenticed under him for about 2 1/2 years in my stunt club but knew him for 9-10 years. Sometimes I didn't agree with or like what he had to say but he always had my best interest in mind. He was defiantly my biggest role model and I would consider him more of family than just a friend.

My dad is the most influential person in my life. Growing up I didn't have the greatest relationship with him or my mom and bounced around between both homes from the age of 11 until I finally moved in permanently with my dad at 16. We didn't really begin to bond and build our relationship until after I came out and he was the first person in my family that I told and was the first person in my family to tell me it was alright. From that moment we have built an amazing relationship and I have learned so much about him and what I thought was the ideal childhood. He has been honest with me and wants me to learn from the things that he tells me. He has supported me 100% (through thick and thin) with every project that I take on, relationships that I have pursued and is always there to pick me up when I trip...and makes sure that I keep moving forward and strive to make a difference in the world.

He is my best friend from now until the end.

It is a hard call for me to decide on the ONE most influential person in my life. There have been so many important people who have shaped me to become the person I am today. Both of my parents have had a huge impact on me. My dad has fueled my creative side and technical abilities. But it is my mom that has always been very caring and supportive of me. She is the one whose main goal in life is to ensure the happiness of my brother and I.

The most influential person in my life is my father. I have always looked up to my dad ever since i was little. As most of you know i am the only boy in my family i have three sisters becasue of this my dad and i had to stick together. I use to do everything with my dad and i guess we wore of on me i find myself doing things like him often.

The most influential person in my life was my neighbor, Tony Macaluso. Tony was my neighbor since as long as I could remember, and always way in a friendly mood. no matter how busy he was, he was there to help. When my grandpa died, Tony was there to help the family. He was dedicated to the community, and even the mayor of Dickeyville, up until he died in 2006. I still look back on him as a role model.

Thanks everyone for sharing your stories.

The most influential person in my life has been my grandma. She is a very strong and opinionate woman. And while our opinions rarely match she showed me that it is important to stand by your beliefs.

She taught me how to bake and cook. And it was her who convinced my parents to allow me to go to college. And her that I turned to when I was homesick my freshmen year (she told me, "Honey...if I could spend the majority of my life away from home, then you can spend a few years at college."

She is a pretty remarkable woman and that is why I named my daughter after her.

I would say my brother is my most influential person in my life. My brother messed up a lot in his life and kind of did life backwards. He made a lot of mistakes that I got to learn from and I also learned that you don't have to live your life in the box that others want you to live in. He has always been so sure of who he was and lived life on the edge. I owe the life I have to my brother the choices he made and the person he is today. ~Whitney
