One way you can show your thankful is to pray. Religion and prayer isn't for everyone and I believe it should be discovered not forced but for me, I know some days I wouldn't have the energy or will to get out of bed with out it.

I am thankful for having a great job where I work with great people, for being at college, for the safety and health of my family, and for simply being alive.
I found a a list of 12 ways to be thankful and have decided to apply them to my life :)
1. See with the heart
-Remind yourself that when you are flustered you need to look with your heart to see what's there and not just at what you are seeing. Speak from your heart, not your gut.
2. Change your language
-“Just as changing your life can change your language, changing your language can change your life.” - Dan Baker Ph.D. in "What Happy People Know"
"It’s impossible to be simultaneously in a state of appreciation and fear, which is why gratitude and appreciation are antidotes to fear. Moreover, the words I speak to myself and to others really do alter my perception of the world. But when I can recognize the toxic self-talk and change my choice of words, the seeds of gratitude can grow."
3. Get a gratitude partner
-Having a gratitude buddy can help you realize there is more to be thankful for than you realize.
4. Remember
-“Gratitude is the heart’s memory” French proverb
Remembering those that have touched our lives no matter how significant is important.
5. Keep a gratitude journal
-Writing down what you are grateful for can have very positive effects if you do this a few times a week
6. Write a thank you letter
-Write a gratitude letter to a perso nwho has made a positive and lasting influence in your life.
7. Make a gratitude visit
-Surprise someone with a meaningful visit and let them know how lucky you are to have them in your life.
8. Start a gratitude club
- Surrounding yourself with others that are grateful can help bring positive energy into your life
9. Acknowledge yourself
-Don't forget that you are important as well. Be thankful for being you.
10. Accept a gift
-Graciously accepting a gift from someone communicates our thanks and makes others feel good about themselves.
11. Pray
-Even if it only to say thank you, praying can help keep you in good spirits and help you through the day.
12. Give back
-This is not reciprocating, this is just giving for the sake of giving.
1. I am thankful for the inner strength that I have.
2. I am thankful for the professors that have helped shape and guide me in my journey through college.
3. I am thankful for a staff that cares for their residents.
I read an article about 12 ways to be thankful. I thought the very last one was great. It talked about different ways to give back.
