Saying Goodbye...

It's time to say good bye to Darin and Jason. Please share with all of us a way they have helped you during their/your time here, a special memory, or what you appreciate about them.

Darin & Jason...please share any words of wisdom or motivation that you might have and be willing to share.

I would like to share...

I have truly appreicated having Jason sense of humor and leadership on staff. I was not sure what to expect when you came to staff but you have continually impressed me and exceed my expectations. Good luck in Holvid...you'll be a great DSM!

Thank you Darin for being such a steady, laid back, and consistent member of a crazy staff. Having your knowledge and expertise has been extremely useful, especially during times you've stepped in while I was gone. I always knew that while I was gone I could count on you to be the go-to person and make the right decisions. Good luck with the your new job...you have all the skills, now go out and use them!

Darin - Oh you big, ol' Tree you! You are always so calm and collected (or a really good hider) and it helps me to stay calm in situations I may not know how to handle. Thanks for never getting annoyed (or letting me know) with all of my questions throughout the past year and a half. I really appreciate all of you help! You are a fun and awesome individual and I wish you all the best!!!! Don't be a stranger!!

Jason - You are a very funny man! We may have had a rocky start last year with a little too much closeness but I am glad to have gotten to know you better. You are a lot of fun and I appreciate your ability to bring humor to any situation. Good luck in Hovlid! I know you will be a great DSM! We will miss you much, so don't be too much of a stranger. Visit!

It's been fun guys and I will miss you both! (tear*tear*tear*tear....just kidding) Have fun with your new positions! I wish you both all the success you deserve!

One thing that has kept me trying to out do myself, is the quote

"what would you do if you knew you could not fail?"

Keep that in mind.

Hi Darin!
I think that I have seen you more this past week than I have the entire semester. (Though you did stop by my room TWICE this semester.) I will for sure miss your sense of humor. Your e-mails always crack me up. What am I supposed to do when I walk past 162 now?

Jason -
Well you'll never have to wait for me to show up at a desk shift again. Truth: it took a while for me to be comfortable around you, but you're actually a pretty cool guy... for an engineer. Have fun up in Hovlid. I'm sure we'll see you around.

Darin you have been an awesome resource and a very fun person to share stories with and whenever i walk by your room it is always nice to share a word.

Jason we had a lot of fun together although you think i am a gorilla. It was awesome to have an RA i could relate too on staff and someone who knows about "old man strength hahaha" but yea it was fun...haning in your room, carissa flirting with me while you did my cad homework haha. just kidding, but thanks for all your help this semester with everything don't be afraid to stop by next semester and leave your hovlid paradise...have fun over break on staff...not

As For Darin the tall oak tree.
You have done an unpresidented ammount of work for your desk. Between your training topics and your 2:00AM e-mails, you have really shown your dedication to your job. I know what you will show that same dedication in the future as well.
Can we do my eval @ the waterfront?

Darin & Jason this is from Sara. She asked me to post it for her because she can't access the blog from where she is.

I want to say at first that I thoroughly enjoyed working with both of you. I am glad that I have had the chance to get to know both of you a little more over a semester.
Darin
For Darin I would like to say that I probably learned the most about you when I missed my desk shift and you left me the very long messages telling me about your life and other things like Schrader and the Vikings. :D I enjoyed those very much. I am happy that I was able to see that side before you left Stout for good. For your future I wish you the best of luck in all you do and I can see you doing very great!
Jason
As for you Jason, I would like to say first of that I did not memorize this, but I understood it. :) I think having those conversations with you has helped me understanding more about people and working as an RA. I want to thank you for that. I also enjoyed having your humor on staff very much. Thanks for making it a fun semester! I wish you best of luck in Hovlid and hopefully you will stop by in MC sometime.
