CRUNCH TIME!


We have hit the last month of the semester and I think it is important to remember to take some time for yourself (which will be uber easy now that you're not doing weekly community builders)! I have listed below some popular relaxing tips:

1. Exercise for at least 30 minutes every other day.

2. Laugh...it releases the healing hormones-endorphins (the body's natural pain killers).

3. Try using mediation, deep breathing and/or yoga for 5 minutes twice a day.

What I would like for you to do is add your own top three tips that you enjoy doing to ease the stress in your life.

It's my hope that these tips come in handy during the end of the year...so don't be afraid to try them!

My three favorite stress relievers:

1.Going for a walk (especially along The Red Cedar Trail)

2.Popping in the iPod and jamming out

3.Talking and venting to my mom or my best friend (which usually leads to lots of laughing!)

1)Going for a drive and jamming out to music with all the windows down

2)Going to a movie with Annette LaVallee and ordering a large bucket of popcorn and a large coke

3)Spending some extra time at church and praying for the things going on in my life

1. Flipping through my ipod to find the perfect song for the day.

2. Going for a walk along the lake or river.

3. Using a meditation CD to meditate and relax before going to sleep (it does actually help believe it or not!)

2. I also like to go to the library and get tons of stuff done in one day

3. Going for a drive and listening ot really loud music

My favorite stress relievers are -

1. Being outside enjoying nature, espcially Shawano lake in the summer with friends

2. Exercising is a pretty big one when I get around to it. It relieves a lot of stress in my life.

3. Taking naps and having time to myself - espcially away from residents!?!?!?!?!

I also enjoy a good laugh watching funny tv shows...it could also just be watching something good on HGTV, Discovery, ESPN or History Channel

Furthermore going for a nice drive in the country is always good stuff

I know it is after the deadline but I want to post anyway so here are some of my favorite stress relievers.

1. I am not really into professional type photgraphy but I like to go for walks and find something so beautiful that I just have to take a picture. I find it calming to look at them later I guess.

2. Running, sometimes it is stressful to run in itself but I love when I have a good run and my legs feel tingly

3. Grocery shop. Ya I know its kinda out there but I like to cook and look at new recipes so when I have the time to wander the aisles of a fancy supermarket or little gourmet shop it seems to be like a stress reliever to me. Not that I don't love shopping for clothes and stuff too though :)

1) Working out or playing a sport that is active.
2)Being outside enjoying the weather!
3)Playing call of duty is always a good stress reliever!
