Hi everyone...I hope that all of you have enjoyed your summer and are excited to be getting back on campus. I'm SUPER EXCITED to have you all coming back over the upcoming days...it's a bit quiet around here without you.

Which reminds me...when you arrive, you will card access to the Front Door and the Front Desk. You will find your keys in an envelope on the back counter of the Front Desk...it has your name and room number on it just in case you forgot where you were. If you need to get things out of storage you will find the key for the Milnes Classroom in the key box on the first panel...it's labeled Milnes Classroom.

Now for this blog thing...as you may have figured out we're going to be doing a little blogging throughout the year. We'll be talking about it more during training but I'm excited to announce that it will be taking the place of Weekly Reports. I know you returners are excited...I am too!

Let's get started. You all have author access to our blog, so please post one story from your summer...it can be funny, interesting, silly, disgusting, scary, etc. If you need a little help, pull out the letter I sent you this summer and create a Top Ten List of your own for the summer!

Happy blogging and I'll see you all soon! Take care & travel safe.

KELLY

My summer was full of many different events. One of the coolest I would have to say would be when my family and I were on our 2 1/2 week road trip to the west we stopped in Yellowstone park on the way to the Idaho and on our way back home. On the way to Idaho, we were driving through and saw no real wildlife, a few buffalo but nothing massive. Right before we left the park a small Grizzly bear ran across the road. We only saw it because a bunch of other cars stopped to check it out. Then on our way back to Wisconsin, we saw a small Black bear running over some hills. This one was a lot harder to see because he was behind us and at random distances away. It took us 10 minutes or so to just find out where the right way to look was. That is my story and I am sticking to it!

My summer was full of traveling even though it was the plan to not go anywhere besides Turtle Lake (TL) this summer. So I ended up in Austin, Texas for one month sitting a house while doing some job search. My mom came to visit me there so that was really cool we went on a lot of bike rides and walks it was fun.
Then I went back to TL for about 3 days just getting things ready and unpacking and packing again. Because after the 3 days I went to Germany to visit my family and surprised my brother on his birthday. He was actually like...ahh what are you doing here....:) And then I got to see my family and my best friend and others and also my dog. I miss it all. Well and then after 3 weeks of working with my parents and working on the house and carport I went back to TL but this time my brother Birk came with me. While he was here my hostfamily and us went to the Drag Races in Brainerd, which were awesome because I got a picture taken with Morgan Lucas! :) Come check it out in my room. And then we went to visit LeAnn's(hostsister)cousin in Waukesha, that was fun.
The day after we came back Brokers(hostfamily) had a family reunion and the day after that I moved into my dorm. A day later Birk left for home again. And then training started.
Good summer!!!
